Passover, Facebook style!

So this guy Carl Elkin spent some time building a facebook page, that is a nice reading of the haggadah.

The hagaddah is a book, which relates the story of Moses and the Israelites departing Egypt. A story passed down from generation to generation. A FIVE THOUSAND YEAR OLD grudge. yeah, I may not remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but my people? we remember things....

but I cannot remember if I was supposed to buy eggs or not....

After chemo, I realized I am balding. and I know what I look like all the way bald. Well, it is spring, and I got tired of messing with my thin hair, so I had Julie shave it with a #2 clipper.

Saul? "daddy, what happened to your hair? It went away. I do not like"

however, after 2 days, I really DO like it. it is easy, comfy, and feels just fine.


Sunday night he and I went to John's Xlint in Willow Glen with Mike and Evie. Saul ate lots of warm bread, french fries, and some chicken strips. Drank lots of water, and had a generally good time.

Sunday morning, I rode dirtbikes at Metcalf park. The county just re-graded all the main trails, so I was able to ride TO the fun spots, without wearing myself out. Then ride like a madman. It was wonderful fun.

the thing to notice here is, he is eating, and he is sitting with other kids, who are also eating. and? he likes to wear orange.

On Friday, Sara wanted Chinese take-away for dinner. I thought, Noodles! Maybe he will eat Noodles. And he did, but in a wierd way of loading them into his mouth.

at this point? I will take any eating!




Yesterday we went to the Tech Museum. KDFC had a kids day, so Saul got to see the orchestra play Vivaldi's Spring

Then we wandered around the Tech, till we were done; and went for greasy onion rings, fries and a burger at the Burger Bar.

This morning, he was in a great mood, and was playing peek-a-boo under the quilt Tia Julia made him. We laid out his blanket from Tara, had Miss Penguin and Chango on it with him, then TiaQuilt over him. He would "hide" with his friends, then fling the comforter off and yell "tadaaaa!"

I finally got all my bikes cleaned, all my gear cleaned, everything is almost dry. As soon as my boots finish drying, I will be able to put the gear bag away, and all will be done.

on the way home from Sinai, we stopped at costco to reprovision some, and on the way home from that, he ate TWO california cuties (small tangerines)

well, we have been building up to it, but this was just stellar.

Saul is learning about Purim in nursery school. I was completely bowled over when he told me the story of Queen Esther (abbreviated a little) after school today. He is learning, and growing


Which leads to dinner at the Elephant Bar tonight with Mike and Evie. They just got home from their vacation trip, and we went for dinner.

Evie ordered a french dip sammich. She gave Saul some of the roast beef, and he ate it, like a madman. with a toothpick as a skewer. and ate more and more



After the skrimps at Original Joes, I must say, I am bowled over.

he ate. he took real, solid food, and put it in his mouth. chewed it up and swallowed it. Like a real kid.

I nearly fainted.

so cool


Sara has put him on a program of TWO and only TWO books per night at bedtime. Else he will ask for more and more.

tonight we read "Go Dog Go" and "A Fly Went By" he drank 9 oz of pediasure, then 3 oz of milk, and went to sleep after the Fly went by. No fuss, rolled over and went to bed.

WOW!

When I picked him up from school, he was not crying, he was sitting at a table about to have some snacks. so he ate peanut butter sammich in my car on the way home
